-
- The
History
- Now founder and
acting head of the three Kantha Bopha Hospitals, I was
working in Kantha Bopha I in Phnom Penh in 1974/75
until the Khmer Rouge entered the town.
- At this time Kantha
Bopha was a small Hospital of 60 beds.
-
-
- In 1991 His Majesty
King Norodom Sihanouk and the then acting government
have asked me to restore and run this Kantha Bopha
Hospital.
-
- In September 1992,
the restored and newly equipped Kantha Bopha I
Hospital was inaugurated by His Majesty King Norodom
Sihanouk.
-
- The Hospital soon
becomes bigger and bigger, since the health situation
of the children and the poverty of the families is
turning out to bee much worse than
expected.
