A Film by Georges Gachot
Thursday, 27 and Friday, 28 October 2022
in the lecture hall Kunsthaus Zurich
With donations from Switzerland, Dr Beat Richner rebuilt the Kantha Bopha children's hospital in Cambodia 30 years ago, which had been destroyed by war. Who was this charismatic man from Zurich who always put the welfare of the poorest people above his own? What drove him, touched him and kept him busy?
The Foundation Board cordially invites you to immerse yourself in the unique life story of the Swiss paediatrician. Filmmaker Georges Gachot accompanied Beat Richner for decades with his camera - and paints a moving portrait. His latest work can be seen at two anniversary events: Thursday, 27 and Friday, 28 October 2022, in the lecture hall Kunsthaus Zürich.
Doors open at 5.30 p.m. on both days, the event begins at 6 p.m. Impressive photographs also provide an insight into various projects and phases of the past 30 years. And the Foundation Board will inform you about the latest developments in Cambodia. Admission is free.
