On 6 November 2022, a delegation of the Foundation Board as well as the Cambodian chief physicians were invited to the palace in Phnom Penh by King Norodom Sihamoni and the Queen Mother Norodom Monineath to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Kantha Bopha Hospitals. Both of them, as well as the late King Norodom Sihanouk, have supported Beat Richner and his hospitals since the beginning.
For their many years of outstanding work, 21 Cambodian doctors have now been awarded a high medal by the King. This is a strong sign for the hospitals and for the 2,500 employees. The anniversary exhibition of Kantha Bopha was also shown at the audience in the palace.
